Anyone else play their entire rookie year 12minQ every game?

This is the first sports game that I've been able to do this with aside from The Show which I played every game because I was a starting pitcher and didn't have to play 162 games a season. It took me 3 weeks to finish the regular season.

I'm a PG on the suns although our team is nothing like the real suns. They traded every single player except Channing Frye away. Starting lineup is:
PG - MP
SG - Kirk Hinrich
SF - Thaddeus Young
PF - Elton Brand
C - Channing Frye

Bench notables: D Collison, E Turner

We finished the season 58-24 and #1 seed in the west. We play San Antonio in the first round. Lakers and Grizzlies missed the playoffs haha.

I'm an 85 PG with maxed: Mid range, Pass, Off-hand, On-ball, Steal, Block, D Reb, Stam, Dura & a few others. Just under 300k skill points. Just got my dunk to 80 before the playoffs.

33.8 ppg (1st) (lebron 2nd with 32.9)
8.1 apg (3rd) (rondo 1st with 10.8 )
3.3 spg (1st) (paul 2nd with 2.7)
3.8 rpg (6th - pg only)
0.5 bpg (1st - pg only)
.517% FG (1st - pg only)
.889 % FT (9th)
3.9 TO (most in league but also most touches)
35.4 PER (2nd) (lebron 1st with 37.0)
32.1 EFF (1st) (lebron 2nd with 31.9)

I had 2 games against the clippers that I attempted to break Wilt's record. 1st game I scored 29 points in the first quarter and so I decided to go for it. I was matched up with Earl Boykins and it was incredibly easy to blow past him and put up a mid range jumper. I scored 98 my first attempt because my coach took me out for the last 4:30! I was unbelievably pissed. Second attempt was against the clippers again. 33 in the first, 27 second, 26 third, 14 fourth. I got 100 points because my coach YET AGAIN took me out for the final 3 minutes of the game even though i need 1 single point to break the record. I didn't typically do this type of thing, I liked to set up my team mates for assists mostly but playing against boykins i couldn't resist attempting history haha.

I had a lot of fun playing all the games. This is my first 2k sports game and I have to say I'm quite pleased. It took FOREVER to catch on and avoid turning the ball over (i'm still not that good with turnovers) but I also get the most touches in the league so there's that. Definitely recommend trying this if you haven't - it was a lot of fun. Anyone else do this?

I played 12 min quarters as well with the Suns. Broke Wilt's record with a last second three about 3/4th into the season. Finished the year avg 47 pts 7 steals and 6 assists. Next year I want to break the single season scoring record.

Was really enjoying playing until I won the title and the game won't advance to the menu screen and gets locked up every time.

Re: Anyone else play their entire rookie year 12minQ every game?

I've played the whole season as a PG with 12 minute quarters in both 2K10 and 2K11.

In 2K12, I'm only near the All-Star break because of school. I thought I was one of the few that spend so much time with My Player, I guess there's a lot more of you guys haha.

And also as a side note, I play on Hall of Fame difficulty with simulation sliders on 2K10, 2K11, and 2K12 but in 2K12 Hall of Fame seems to be the most frustrating difficulty I've ever played on in all of my My Player experience.

Yeah i play myplayer the most because i don't really care for the online mode. I played 2 games and both times i played people that kept attempting to score the exact same way over and over again. It just felt pointless. I can actually recreate the NBA in a sense when i play offline. I also played in high school and the myplayer mode is good for bringing back memories of intense moments during games.

I feel you, I kind of make my My Player the way I would if I actually entered the NBA. I'm more so an offline player also.

I'm an offline player. I make myplayer sorta realistic to me. I always play 12 min quarters in my player, and association.
