Broncos-Tebow dealio?
I thought about this after watching the Jaguars/Chargers games on Monday night.
If you were the Broncos, would you try to trade Tebow after this season?
Here's theory is this:
The Broncos are winning right now, but I doubt it will last all the way through next season. I'm sure they can finish the season strong, but by the time next season rolls around, I feel like the rest of the NFL will be better prepared to face Tebow and the Broncos after experiencing it before.
Take last year with Vick. Defenses has trouble containing him and the Eagles played fairly well last season (or better than expected). Then comes this year, Vick is struggling and isn't as "electric" as last year. It could be because of a number of reason, but I believe the biggest one is that defenses have learned what his weaknesses are and are exploiting them better than before. If this is true, the same could happen for Tebow.
Do you guys think the Broncos should try to trade Tebow while his stock is high, or risk keeping him? I see it sort of like a Junior QB in college (take Barkley for example). He is playing well right now, and if he decides to leave for the NFL, he will no doubt be a first round pick. He could choose to stay at USC, but he is risking having a horrible season, which could lower his stock.
I think the Broncos should trade Tebow at the season's end. I don't think he will be able to keep pulling it off throughout next season and the Broncos should take advantage of his value. They could probably trade him to Jax for some draft picks or something. Tebows from the area so I think Jax would take him, being they need the extra fan support and all.
What do you guys think?
