Is it possible to...

Is it possible to call a time-out without pausing the game? That is, when I call a timeout I have to go through the menu to do so. Is there a button/button combination I can use to call a timeout during a stoppage in play?

I record my games and I hate having to "pause" the game and ruin the contiguous presentation I achieved at that point.

You have to pause the game.

Yeap in real life it depends on the situation, usually it's done near the end of the game to give the players on the ice a rest and to go over a play to either preserve a win or to tie/win a game. Other times it is used for coaches to "slow the game down" when the other team has staged a huge comeback or scored two or more goals in a short time span.

Anywho, in the game it will replenish the energy of all of your players, which can be helpful to rush down the ice quickly or for the players attribs to be at their peak in order to score a goal. The flip side is of course it fills up the opposes teams energy.

There's a button to pull the goalie on the fly though isn't there?

If your down 1 late and your 1st line is tired/in red then your going to use your timeout. It would be a waste not to.

Yep...this is how/when I use my timeout as well.

Yeah, might as well have your top line out there and rested for your last ditch effort.
