Would You Start A Franchise Right Now W/O Controlling All 32 Teams? Is It Worth It?

I just finished my first full season on NCAA 12(Won Title With Longhorns 13-0 Wooo!) and im ready play a full season on madden with my Cowboys(Woooo!) and engage in a draft with my imported class. Are their bugs in the franchise that alters anyone's desire from starting one?

I dont control all 32 teams and im still having fun. I guess it depends on how anal you are rosters and player equipment and the like. Im old school man, so i dont get bothered by some of the minor bugs. The only thing that really bothers me is the injury lengths, and for that i just turn injuries off for a few weeks during the season. The undrafted rookies dont bother me, if they get too silly i just edit them to be servicable players. I havent enjoyed madden this much in a long time, a lot of people would disagree with that though.

I thought I read somewhere that this is only an issue in the first year. Is that true. Also, are those UFA's starters or just very low on the depth chart.

They are low on the depth chart and usually if the CPU gets enough injuries some of them might be forced to start they usually hit the FA market before the next game.

I'm only playing 1 team offline 'chises and I'm doing alright, in a new frachise, I usually spend half an hour or so signing the most important cut rookies after the first preseason (from the first 4 rounds or so) and trade them back to their teams, usually they keep em after that and the problem is solved.

You'll have a couple of players every year that get drafted high and then cut in the preseason, that's unfortunate, but it's really not that may and it's not like teams are suddenly starting 50 OVR F potential players.

Doesn't seem to bad to me, as long as I'm not going against scrubs. I'll probably pick it up Friday since it'll be 28.00.

This drives me crazy, I guess I'll need to learn to get over it.

This issue is a little overplayed to me--no offense to those who are worked up about it.

You can change the ones who look like robots into P if you're only using one team, and then they'll get cut over the pre-season.

The ones who have realistic builds can actually be useful. I do quick edits to give a handful legit, usable skill sets for special teams or the bottom of the roster, and I'll edit a handful into potential starters in the 70s OVR.

Using the Bears, their reali life roster has some 50s dudes on it, especially at backup DE and LB. I just keep the UFAs who are 50s and 60s and let teams use them to fill the bottom of the roster.

If you release all the robocop guys in the first pre-season, they disappear from the game and become non-issues.
