Online or Offline single player Dynasty?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of both?

Keep in mind, I know a lot of your are sour on the game, but I'm not looking for a bashing thread. Just needed some help, thanks.

Online--You can recruit from the web, see some game details/stories on the web. You can sim your games online that looks similar to Gametrax on Espn, & you can advance the week online.

Downside is the possibility of the transfer failed bug where your game doesn't count and you have to replay it, lock/freeze ups, unable to load your dynasty after a certain point. In theory, most of this is supposed to be fixed on Nov 8th. Also, if the EA servers are down, or your Internet is down, you can't play.

Offline--some people still have had the freezing issue (I haven't), but bascially the game is identical to the online as far as in game features, gameplay etc, you just don't have any of the web interface stuff going on. You can play at any time regardless of the EA servers or Internet status.

I tried the online single player dynasty, but soured on it quickly due to losing it in year 2. For what it's worth, I'm in 2 OD now, but for my own single player dynasty, I'm running it offline.

I don't think I can really add much to what jwmcards said. He gives great feedback on both sides of the equation. One thing that I do really like from online dynasty is that you can see where all the players on your roster are from which aids in pipelines....But now that I think of it, that may not be too big of an issue since I think you can now see the states you have players from one of the buttons in the dynasty menu.

I guess it all boils down to personal preference, but I do really like the online dynasty because I can access my info from anywhere that I have an internet connection which allows me to recruit, search from prospects, sim my games, etc. all while away from the console.

I have used an Online single player dynasty and am in my 3rd season with Vandy. I have had about 3 transfers failed at the end of games and had to replay them. Luckily, I have not had any other freeze or lock ups.

The advantage of being able to recruit offline and advance weeks on the web saves enough time for me that it outweighs the dreaded "transfer failed". I just don't have the time to be thorough with recruiting on the console. I also love being able to look at my roster and game stats online. I wish the EA dynasty page was updated already, but it still serves its purpose for me. Hopefully patch #4 and the server update helps eliminate the issues.

i wanted to do an online single player dynasty but avoided it because of the transfer issues. This is probably a dumb question but can you take your offline dynasty online at the start of a season? I'm in year 4 now and i would love to be able to recruit online, but i don't want to start a new dynasty to do it.
