Is there a way to Clear Cap Penalties in Madden 12?

I know in the previous versions you could hit X in a menu to clear them but I am not seeing anything and I cannot move forward in my Franchise until I clear them. I have about 60 million dollar in penalties because I dumped off some high salaried players for draft picks. I have Fill Roster on CPU and still no luck.

I don't think there's anything you can do about it besides turning off the cap

Don't cheat then! Only joking. You could turn off the cap to get round this or if you have dealt players away without considering the penalty, then in future I find the easiest way of checking what the penalty is is by starting the process of releasing them and the system will ask if you are are and tell you what the penalty will be. You can then back out and know how much it will cost you to get rid of that guy.

try this
get it to where u cant progress anymore by releasing a couple players then sign some1 to a huge contract with no bonus money .make sure u have 0 cash and posistions that need to be filled.try simulating.when the cpu sees ur in trouble it will tell u to either release players or CLEAR THE CAP. this was in madden 11

If you release them before you start your franchise in the main menu of rosters no cap penalty.

Turn the salary cap off, my friend. Really. The CPU doesn't go FA crazy, and if you play with house rules for acquiring FA's yourself, then the cap isn't necessary.

Beats heck out of the needless headache, because of roster minimums and such, of the salary cap problems.
