The defense is WAY too overpowered. It clogs a lot of passing lanes. You can't entry pass to the low post (what is supposed to be this defenses biggest weakness, due to a glitch not allowing post players to posture up to receive a post entry pass. Your only options are forget plays, and icon lead pass to your wings towards the corners, and shoot, or pump and go and pray the call a foul when the help defense smothers you as you go to the rack. You have to play unrealistically up tempo to even have a shot vs this d. 1-3-1 is cheddar city till the low post pass issues are fixed.

No its not, the outside and midway jumper kills this zone...stop labeling everything a little challenging cheese...

So don't work the post. Mid range jumpers all day.

Google search how to beat the 1-3-1 zone and you will see how it can be beat.

We do need zone offenses in this game though

I cant remember ever seeing an NBA team run a 1-3-1 zone.
I would be in favor of removing the 1-3-1 zone and adding match up defenses like the 2-3 match up defense or even adding the 1-3-1 match up defense.

The 1-3-1 zone in this game is not implemented properly and is used as a crutch especially on higher difficulty levels. You should be able to break this zone down with a high/low game, or by feeding the high post and forcing double team help from wings then swinging the ball to the open perimeter guy, but with the super AI being able deflect passes on post entry and swinging the ball (especially to the weak side) if the wing player is open is damn near impossible.

wow...OP...with the 3pt shooting the way it is. really? when u see zone, your eyes should light up in anticipation of how many easy buckets and open shots u about to get.

The 1-3-1 has been the go to defense for years in 2k. This defense is difficult to break against users who know how to run it. They are doing alot more than simply calling 1-3-1. They are actively moving their players into the proper spots creating turnovers and swarming to shooters. I dont think its cheese, but it's annoying to see how fast certain defenders can recover, slide across the floor, and deflect floaty passes.
