Important note for CPU vs CPU users!!

OK people I have been watching games now since the release date and still cant understand why INTs and Sacks are so high, even though INTS are at 0 and pass rush is at 0. Until Now!!!!

I discovered that the sliders set for a game do work if you do or dont do certain things. After using this method the games that I have watched ended with 0 interceptions and very low sack numbers. Here is how I did it;
  • Get your sliders/options set up before the game i.e from the main menu. Player sliders and CPU sliders must be the same.
  • Resume or start a new franchise. In the pre-game option screen leave the controller where it is and start the game.
  • Do the coin toss as normal. During the kick-off when the ball is in mid air pause the game and go to the controller select screen, move the controller icon in the middle of the screen and resume the game.
  • Now this is the most important part. After you have resumed the game DO NOT TOUCH THE CONTROL! Dont skip any replays, dont pause the game do NOTHING, let the game play itself. The only time I touched the control was when I flicked the analogue stick because my TV screen went dark, (xbox screensaver) and it didnt affect the game.
I found this out when watching one game using this method, 49ers vs Seahawks (i think). Going into the 4th quarter there were 0 sacks and 0 INTs. I then had to pause the game to get some food, (bad idea). After I resumed the game the 49ers went sack crazy recording 5 sacks in the remaining time. This got me thinking.
Since then I have watched CPU vs CPU games using the method above. The only problem with this is that you wont be able to change anything during the game.

Remember you can use whatever sliders you want, just remember the method above if you want them to work.

Enjoy

Re: Important note for CPU vs CPU users!!

Here are the sliders that I am using so far.

Quater Length 12 minutes
Injuries 35
Fatigue 50
Game Speed Normal
Player Min Speed Threshold 50

Passing
QB Accuracy 60
Pass Blocking 0
WR Catching 50

Rushing
Broken Tackles 50
Run Blocking 35
Fumbles 70

Pass Defence
Reaction Time 50
Interceptions 10
Pass Rushing 15

Rush Defence
Reaction Time 50
Block Shedding 50
Tackling 50

Penalties
All 50 except False Start 45

Special Teams
FG Power 45
FG Accuracy 50
Punt Power 55
Punt Accuracy 65
Kick Off Power 55

The QB Accuracy Slider does seem to have a big affect on how many sacks there are in a game. I watched a game with the QB acc slider set at 50 (the other sliders unchanged as above) and the CPU recorded 13 sacks and 4 INTs.
Next watched a game with QB acc at 65. No sacks, 1 INT but passing was too easy, nearly 50 points scored in the first half alone.
Watched a game Colts vs Buccs with the silders shown above and heres some of the stats I got;

Colts 10 Buccs 17

Total Offense 261 Total Offense 293
Rushing 47 Rushing 125
Passing 214 Passing 168
Turnovers 2 (-1) Turnovers 1 (+1)

Rating Comp Att Yds Comp% TD INT AVG Long
Painter 84.0 22 33 229 66 1 1 6.9 47
Freeman 78.9 21 32 190 65 1 1 5.9 31

Att Yds Avg TD Fumb
Addai 14 50 3.5 0 0
Carter 1 -4 -4.0 0 0
Painter 1 1 1.0 0 1

Att Yds Avg TD Fumb
Blount 20 124 6.2 0 1
Freeman 4 5 1.2 0 0
Lumpkin 3 -3 -1.0 0 0
Graham 1 -1 -1.0 0 0

Top Receivers
Rec Yds Avg TD
Garcon 7 96 13.7 1
Wayne 6 57 9.5 0

Winslow 5 48 9.6 0
Williams 3 47 15.6 1

Defense
Mathis 2 Sacks
Anderson 1 Sack
Bethea 1 INT

Price 1 Sack
Biggers 1 Sack
Hayes 1 INT 96 yrd return TD

Also 2 field goals missed by the Buccs

These sliders are not the final set. The more games I watch the closer I will get to the final set.

Re: Important note for CPU vs CPU users!!

I just played my first game in Franchise using this method. It's real people, it's real.
But I have one question...
I am playing all 32 teams in Franchise. I CPU each and every game for all 32 teams.
After I do the Controller thing in the first game, must I also do the same thing in each following game? Or do the sliders lock in after the first try?

I have done it before every single game. The method seems to be working so the only things I would change are the sliders.

Can anyone confirm if this is a PS3 issue as well or only a XBOX360?

It works on the PS3 also but the only thing I do different is I still use the two controller concept to start a cpu vs cpu game and put the controllers in the middle after the coin toss. But as far not skipping any replays or pausing the game or nothing it definitely works and the strange thing is I'm getting great games and stats this way with the sliders on default.
