Question Help with One Timers

I seem to be horribly inconsistent with one-timers this year. Sometimes I'll get the pass through and I've pressed up on the shoot stick but my player just holds the puck and never shoots it. Do I have to hold the stick up until he receives the pass or can I just flick the stick up while the pass is en route? Any help with this would be... uhh, helpful... Thanks.

If you hold L2 and hold up on the right stick as the puck comes your way, you'll slap a one timer everytime.

When you pass the puck, while it's making its way to the player you want to pass to, then flick the stick forward and the player will go for a one time shot when the puck is about to get to them.

It seems that when I do this technique, my player simply holds the puck and NEVER shoots... I'm just gonna keep on practicing... thanks for the tips.

Re: Help with One Timers

Just do practice mode and do the 2 on 0(or 3 on 0) practice.

I cant get consistent 1 timers off on the 360 either. I tried the 3 on 0 drill but its the same he sometimes shoots sometimes holds the puck.

What are the exact controls on the 360 ? Just pass and then hold the right stick up when the puck is on its way or something else ?

Hold the right stick up AND depress L2.

You don't have to time RS up, either, just keep it up until you shoot the puck.
