1. When the ball rolls in front of one of my cpu teammates, why do they turn and run away from the ball instead of trying to intercept it? I kid you not, the ball will roll right next to their feet and they will turn and run away to mark someone, leaving the CPU opponents player wide open to receive the pass.

2. In 1 game alone, 7 handballs were committed by the CPU, but none of them were called. And yes, my setting is set to "On"

3. The CPU's ability to sloppily dribble down the field and make 90 degree cuts right after another. It looks so damn ugly to see them dribble all the way vertically, make 3 90 degree cuts, then turn make and go back down the field.

4. For some reason, the CPU is ALWAYS defending with 7+ players, and when I try to attack my midfield REFUSES to join in, leaving me with a 2 on 7 (+ goalie) in which I hardly ever am able to score. But when the CPU attacks, 1 guy can take on 6 of my teammates, no matter the skill level.

5. When the CPU has a goal kick, their forward is able to receive the ball off the kick and be on a 1 on 1 situation 75% of the time. But anytime I take a goal kick, I can never even keep the possession from the kick.

Edit: 6. Whenever I take a shot and it hits the post/gets blocked, NONE of my teammates will run towards the ball to keep possession. They instantly turn around and run back towards the midfield line. (this is referring to the 2, sometimes 3 people that manage to join in my attack)

Edit 2: 7. When I try to make a tackle, the ball will always roll to another cpu player instead of me gaining possession. It's so blatantly scripted it's hilarious. Like the ball picks up another 5 mph to it so it can reach the cpu before you.

Anyone else feeling like these are occurring to them?

Yes, yes and yes.

I almost posted something very similar to this due to my own frustrations. It seems like 90% of the time you're fighting against these types of "challenges" instead of playing a truly difficult game against another team. It has always been a trademark of EA to use these "cheats" rather than make AI that provides the challenge on its own.

I feel like the talent of the opposing team should be able to create a challenge in and of itself, but it definitely doesn't. Even a bad team will be able to take advantage of the exact things you listed. The worst by far has to be the way that your AI teammates actually move out of position, allowing the CPU offense to score. Instead of making you control more players to play defense, you're stuck having to correct the mistakes and poor play they appear to be committing ON PURPOSE. This game is fantastic, it is my favorite FIFA to ever be released, but it seems like laziness from a programming perspective to have your challenge come from giving unfair advantages to the CPU team.

Teammate ai is definitely the biggest gripe that 90% of FIFA players have, myself included. I would love to hear one of their developers take on why it's programed that way.

The game is still extremely enjoyable though.

Concerns 4, 5 and 7 are things you can get better at as you play more and/or drop the difficulty (or slider adjustments) if needed. Try to enjoy the positives

I wonder if it is a rating issue though. I get subpar play much like is posted, however it varies per team mate, some are far worse than others. I usually set the tactics to default high pressure and ultra attacking. It does make the payers react differently, but I need to make more of my custom tactics to really understand the issue.

tackles are a problem because of ninja cpu dribbling skills. i found sliding tackles against legendary ai to be absolutely useless. the result is that i played an entire season on cm without being awarded not even one yellow card.

i had a problem with 50/50 headers in goal kicks too, but i found that trying to shoot to a winger has a way higher success rate than shooting to the center of the field.

little number of teammates joining attack can be fixed by the user run frequency slider and by playing a slower, more patient, build-up style.

my problems with the game is the lack of variety in cpu playing strategy (worst problem imo), their ninja dribbling skills, the horribly dumb ai teammates and REPLAY SELECTION!! any corner kick has a replay showing the ball going off in every angle, but you don't have a replay for a foul commited inside the box, wtf! and why most of the times the replays of the goals aren't shown at the end of the match? it makes no sense.

i get carded alot. first game on legendary for me and i get a red card, apparently my slide tackle was illegal. actually my first game ever playing and i made the opponent gk get a red card. and this was on the lowest difficulty. not really understanding the game, i went in the box for a shot and the gk did some qausi dive / kick save (pretty odd looking animation) and i did a somersault and he got a red card.

but yeah you are right, very few cards go out generally speaking.

Don't think that's the case... I beat the computer nearly every game, but it's just not enjoyable with all these issues. I don't get any satisfaction from beating a flawed system.
