being inflammatory, saying something just to get a rise out of people, such going into the good players thread, and saying something like "you guys be cheesin, with you play calling and taking smart shots, real ballers freestyle it." that would be a good example of trolling.

I dunno...that just screams scarcasm, if anything.

A better example would be "What!? Kobe is a 94?! And LeChoke is a 96!? Kobe should be at least 99 (cuz everyone knows Kobe is as great, if not better than Jordan) and LeBum should never be higher than Kobe ever!"

Is trying to get a rise out of someone. Forcing them to respond to you, either through wise-crackery, posting incorrect information, asking blatantly stupid questions, or other foolishness. Basically means to intentionally say something that will cause a lot of negative attention / replies. People do it usually for attention and laughs.
