Online Coop Options?
I just purchased the 360 version of 2k12, and am thrilled with the gameplay tweaks from last year's version.
However, after a couple days of exploring the game, I am beginning to feel quite disappointed in my purchase. The primary cause of my disappointment is the lack of options for online play, especially cooperative play.
For brevity's sake, I can summarize my desired experience quite simply:
I would like to have the same experience playing a cooperative association with my friend online that I can get playing offline.
This doesn't seem to be possible, though.
If I could simply play coop with customized teams, then I could export a team saved on my own hard drive to an online game, and he could do the same for our opponent. With a hex-editor, I could sim games on my own hd and then overwrite them with the results of our "official" online game.
Does anyone know why custom teams aren't allowed for online play?
Likewise, is it not possible to play online coop without having to player-lock?
Why can't I pause the game during a Private TeamUp game? We're on the same team, why can't we take a restroom break?
Why can't I control the substitutions of other players on my team if I'm playing online coop?
Why can't we change coach settings on our team?
And while I'm at it, I guess... why can't I back out of all the menus this year? Even offline, this is quite frustrating.

Anyway, I would like to thank the OS community for creating a home for sports-sim gamers like myself, and having a high-quality forum for civil discussions.
If I'm overlooking any possible workarounds for my desired experience, please throw me a bone. Likewise, af the PC version can be manipulated to allow my desired experience, I will gladly purchase a second copy for myself and my friends.
Thanks guys.
