playcalling too simplified?

What happened to the plays? Nowitzki get open is not my idea of a play, why cant I pick plays for each position, I dont like only having 4/5 plays

Try pushing L1 and select the player you want to run a play for. That's what you're looking for. The D-Pad plays aren't all you have.

is that how you call specific plays for certain player? because i can't seem to get it to pop up. i did it once on accident and didn't know what i did.

for 360---tap the LB then the players name and when the plays come up if u press the right trigger u should be able to flip through the pages. u can also visit coaches playbook to assign more play types for each player.

oops LOL just saw this..but what is it / just 1 and then d pad or just L 1?

I think its the opposite to tell you the truth. Last year, I could easily what play type each play is, the names were simple. Ex: Punch, Roll, Cross, Etc. I haven't grasp these play names and what not. I think all these plays are kinda overwhelming, but at the same time, are loved by other ballers.
