A NEW College Basketball Game

[For The Win]

Ok, what would one do in order to create a good college basketball game on their own. I know you'd need a NCAA licencee, but what else would you need to do. I know it wouldn't be easy but if people give me ideas on what would need to be done in terms of a design team and individual parts of a game and how to even make a video game, it would be greatly appreciated. Doesn't hurt to throw an idea out there you know?

What would be absolutely necessary for me:
All team logos
A dynasty mode with recruits
All current arenas
Players
All current unis with alternates
CBS/ESPN presentation


Is there any way to use NCAA Basketball 10 by EA as a base for a new game. Could you buy it from EA (rights) and then build on it??? I really don't know much.

Not to crash your dreams but you are talking about a multi-million dollar investment. One individual couldn't come up with the capital necessary to make a game on that level. Unless you are a multi-millionaire I guess.

Perhaps one person may not be able to do it but a team of people could certainly get it done. I don't think that your idea is bad and you know what else, many people have started out with and idea and no capital and are not millionaires. I have thought the same thing bro...

It's disappointing that neither EA nor 2K saw the potential with the NBA lockout. It's too late at this point.

CH2K8 with updated rosters remains the best option. That game plays incredibly well and has a great franchise mode. I used it last year and preferred it over NCAA 10, which I also have. Even the presentation of 2K8 is solid by today's standards. Overall, it's easily one of the best basketball games of this generation, and I encourage any college hoops fan to try it with the latest OS rosters. You can get it for $3.

October/November release date for a college hoops game is ultimatly the reason they fail, EA or 2K could not compete with Modern Warfare, battlefield, Batman, or Elder Scrolls.

Ya know IF the came out w/ another NCAA game it would be great if they had NBA 2k12's gameplay acc Sunday night hoops presentation acc/big ten challenge espnU presentation etc. Longer pre-game presentation,music e.x. Linkin park or sumthin like that during commercial breaks n timeouts better vocabulary, different commentators, all of the different arenas, having the ability to pick what pre-Season tournament u wanna play in(dynasty) more sayings than just the same thing every single time,better coach feedbacks, games of the week n stuff like that (dynasty) if they put that in their next game, that would be the best college basketball game ever

You've got a great idea, here.
We could incorporate ratings such as teamwork, three-pointers, driving, etc...
There could be half-time reports, and you could go inside the locker room as a coach and dictate your half-time speeches. The type of speech you give could decide how your players played in the second half. The assistant coaches you hire could decide how your players progress.
I think we could make it work, it's an awesome idea.
