From 2K to Broadcast: Tips from those who made the change

I've played on several cameras, and can usually get relatively comfortable on any of them after a game or two. That said, I've primarily used 2k cam since, well, 2k. However, I do like how broadcast looks, which is obviously what draws many to it. So, as the subject says, what tips do former 2k cam players have for making the switch? From adjusting to the controls due to the change of perspective, to using the whole court (not just the sides of the court closest to the bottom of the screen, which I've seen many people do). Don't know that I'll ever be a full convert, but I'm curious what guys who've switched have to say. Thanks.

I just switched and just played until I got used to it.
Just switch your camera to broadcast and play around.
You get used to it pretty fast. It only took me about 3 games to get accustomed to it.

Good thread, I am making the switch also. I've been playing 11 on broadcast and it's not that hard, force fields kinda suck but I'm getting better with this camera angle.

Re: From 2K to Broadcast: Tips from those who made the change

I converted around 2K7 I think. I just got tired of the camera-swing when possession changes. Started to get jittery a lot and with the broadcast angle (nosebleeds looks cool as well) the flow never gets chopped up. Lot of people say you can't see players on the break but if you just use common sense when you see your players leak out on the break it shouldn't be a problem. Knowing where your players, and the defenders are at all times on the court is key to being a great 2K player anyway. So to say, conversion may be erry at first, but I recommend it to all die hard 2K angle fans.

I want to start playing on broadcast. Right now I play on 2K 10 zoom and 1 height. But the problem with broadcast is that the side away from the camera seems hard to maneuver there.

I switched back during 2k7.

That said, I recently started playign 2k11 on 2k cam and remembered just how great it was. You definitely don't have the same control of view of the court in broadcast cam as you do on the 2k cam and running plays definitely is much less of a hassle. I may make the switch back at some point.

Re: From 2K to Broadcast: Tips from those who made the change

Nice feedback, fellas. Thanks. There was a camera called "Broadcast Dynamic" in 2k10 MyPlayer that I liked, and I also like nosebleeds, which is similar. I can play decent on broadcast, I just have two primary issues: 1) adjusting to the commands for moves being different due to the angle (I tried setting them to "absolute", but that makes it a bit worse) and 2) tendency to use the bottom side of the court/screen. It may just take some time in practice/scrimmage. I definitely want to try out the new "Broadcast Stadium" (which seems like it may be similar to that Broadcast Dynamic cam) and the Beluba cam, so I'll need to hone my skills from this angle.
