Xbox live hackings

So yesterday my Xbox live account was hacked they got away with only about 50 bucks in various crap. However after a little google work its becoming clear that this has become an increasing epidemic not long after EA/Bioware was hacked a few months ago.

Anyone else know anything about this?

I got hacked about 10 days ago and had to call MS....supposedly it'll get cleared up in up to 25 days. They said they didn't actually charge my card, that MS caught the issue before it got charged, but they attempted to get MS points twice. I'm checking my next CC statement though to double check and make sure nothing went through.

First I'd ever had this happen to me though....I also haven't heard back from MS, need to call them and see if I can get it settled faster.

How exactly are you guys getting hacked? Anywhere at all that you are giving your information out, like other sites?

Nah, I hadn't done anything out of the ordinary...just that Saturday morning I woke up to 2 e-mails that someone had tried to buy MS points.

my brother got hacked and they bought like 10k MS points and a family pack with his card on file. I thought it was weird he was signed on playing CoD of all games last night and also didn't respond to a message I sent.

I removed my cards from Live awhile ago and only buy with point cards that often go on sale, but this still sucks.

One of the reasons that I refuse to use my CC or banking information on my Live account. Have always just went to the game store and purchased the points cards or the live subscriptions.
