Career Mode Menu Question

I play on a small standard def tv and when I'm on the career mode home page I can barely read the standings and I cannot make out the transfers on the side.

The issue is that the homepage doesn't even fill up the tv screen (there is a colored design above and below the home page).

Is there anyway to expand the homepage which would in turn make everything bigger?
