What is Steve Johnson worth to u?

So i'm 7 weeks in year 1 of my franchise with the Bills and Steve Johnson is on track for a great season....So it would be natural that i'd wanna give him a long-term deal right? So i began negotiations with him and it turns out the MINIMUM he'd sign for is 4 years/35M/13M bonus...his TOTAL salary this year is 800k....am i delusional or is he really worth that kind of contract?...i don't want to lose him but he's young and primed for stardom

Idk but he killed our defense when I had my Raiders Franchise.

I traded INgram for Jaquizz ROdgers in my old Franchise and he went up to 87 after the first year and still had 3 years left for only 300k/yr

I am not 100% sure but I think his 800k contract is someone what similar to real life. However, he has proven in real life and in your franchise to be be one of the better receivers in the league. As a result, he deserves a contract to reflect that.

It's kind of like when Clinton Portis wanted to and deserved to get paid by the Broncos... and became a Redskin. Portis wasn't getting paid much of anything as a Bronco.

check the contracts of other wr's you think he's comparable to. I mean, that's not a lot for a #1 receiver. It's less than Miles Austin signed for, less than Boldin, less than Fitz, Andre.

He falls in that tier below these guys and $9 mil a yr is not bad at all, you might want to sign him longer than 4 yrs though. It'll help your cap.

From the information i gathered Johnson's 2011 salary is 1.2M and it was reported on the bills website that his agent and the Bills are 2M apart from a contract extension...so if he's askin for 3M+ IRL and 8M+ in Madden, doesnt that make u re-consider even just for a sec about re-signing him? i mean a 5M difference is kinda far apart

he's def not in the same category as Megatron, Fitz or AJ....i mean all we have to go by is 1 year (well IRL)....kinda wished that this wasn't his last year of his rookie contract so we would have more of a consistent resume to go by.....if push comes to shove, i'd consider going to 5 years but as of right now, i'm on the fence

Well, what's his OVR rating in Madden [I don't have M12]? Specifically, in your franchise?

Real life isn't Madden. In Madden contracts and trades are valued, in part, by a player's OVR rating. In real life there are no OVR ratings. It's up to the player, his agent and the team.

Do you want to lock him up as your teams number one receiver?

How different are the top receivers contacts in Madden compared to real life? You say Johnson have a 1.2mil contract in real life but only 800k in Madden. That isn't a huge difference, but it is 1.5 times his Madden contract.

Re: What is Steve Johnson worth to u?

If he's only interested in a 4 year deal there is no reason to not offer him 10M per year. If you are still unsure about him, just franchise tag him in the offseason and make him prove himself another year.
