Fifa 12 gets 9 out of 10......I would just love to see EA get Madden back at the top spot..Just gets upset knowing they can. just don't understand why they don't...I thought Madden was EA cash cow at one time???....

Well FIFA has pretty much always been much bigger than Madden (globally) - it sells around twice the copies. They have a much bigger audience and are, of course, going to have even more incentive to fix small problems as well as implementing the features fans want.

That comes from being the #1 sports game, which FIFA almost always is, and has been for a long time. To be fair, Madden has rarely truly been in this #1 spot, at best they have shared it with FIFA.

Madden IS a cash cow, but it is all relative.

Being that soccer is a global sport, FIFA has always been and always will be EA Sports cash cow. Madden isn't sold in too many countries outside of the USA, Canada and UK.

Where as FIFA is sold in about 100 different countries or more.

I believe Madden isn't a top rated game because they have no competition. They've simply gone down in quality since 2004/2005. The transition to next-gen gaming was probably a tough one but you'd think in 2012, the product would be (arguably) better than a version 7 years ago with all the improvements possible with next gen systems. But it's not, IMO, and hopefully there can be another 2k game to incite some real quality.

Not surprising about the better review. Soccer is a much easier game to program than football because virtually all the players perform the same actions.
