Can someone please explain how to do the 360 either way? I saw a vid where someone did a regular spin-o-rama and then did another one where he did almost a fake cross over which was followed by a spin again.

I think a spin is LT and then move the right stick all the way around counter clockwise.

you can actually spin either way. Hold LT (vision control) and spin the left stick from either 3 down around to 9 or from 9 down around to 3
