A problem with changing a players position.

I've been playing Vernon Gholston at MLB the past few seasons (basically just have him rush).
I'm losing my RE at the end of the season so I figured I might start giving Vernon a run at RE. But it won't let me edit him out of a LB position. It's got nothing to do with roster minimum or anything like that.

Any idea what the problem could be?

I believe you have to change him back to an OLB and then you can change him to DE.

That is correct.

Thanks a lot guys. Any experience with him at the RE position in both a 4-3 and 3-4?

Re: A problem with changing a players position.

Simply going based on size he would be much better suited for a 4-3...

Gholston's main handicap is his brain, specifically learning, awareness and play recognition. I run a mix of 3-4 and 4-3: when I picked him up, his Balanced MaxPOT was 85. With a maxLRN of 70, that's not bad.

His skills are maximized in a four-man front, but he's actually best at left end: right ends usually see more double-teams courtesy of blocking AI. He's fast and strong enough to bring down any scrambling quarterback, but he's also mostly a sucker for play-action.

The problem with putting him at LE is that I already have my sack machine Mario Williams playing LE. I kind of want to keep him there for his entire career and see how many sacks he can accumulate by the end of it. He's one of the only players I'm going to try and keep until retirement. There's too much talent in the draft to keep people past their 30's as you yourself know. But Mario is one of my favourtie players so I'm attached to him haha.

Isn't everyone a sucker for play action? It annoys the s*** out of me when I see 0ne or more players bust through the line, only to turn around and run the other way even though the QB obviously has the ball.
