i didnt know 2k7 was better than 2k11

i saw some people telling 2k7 is the best basketball game ever here. i confess i thought they were crazy. a game made in 2007 is better than a game made in 2011? i thought "cmon" now i understand why. in basketball fundemantals wise it s much better

2k7 was good for its time but its not better than 2k11. What 2k7 had going for it was the introduction to signature shots, but gameplay wise you could cheese like crazy in that game. The Houston Rockets were unstoppable because of Yao and T-Mac, Yao gets every rebound and T-Mac could dunk over the entire team.

The replays in 2k7 were the best thing I've ever seen.. slow motion side cam views of the player going up slowly and sweating.. players looked like they were on roids though.. I believe they brought the replay style back from 2k7 into 2k12.. the overhead cam replays in 2k8/9/10/11 are terrible..

Having played every NBA 2K game since NBA 2K4, I think the only game that beats 2K7 in terms of cheese is 2K9. In 2K7, you could do that dropstep dunk with someone like Shaq everytime, unless I'm mistaking it for 2K6.

The problem with these posts is that people's perspective of older games is based on their memories of the game when it came out. Your view is still defined by those first 'wow moments' when you played it a half decade ago in 2007.

Pop the game in now and see how it plays in 2011. It's laughable when you think about how amazed you were with it. There's hardly any real sense of balance. It was the most balanced for its time, but the cheese in that game is so outrageous with today's standards that the community would be howling for its cancelation.

What I thought was buttery smooth in 2007, now I see skating and herky jerky spins, completely unrealistic passes, ball magically passing through defenders' hands, no realistic sense of NBA speed, janky player models, constant passes to non-looking player's backs and then they use psychic powers and turn around at the last split second to receive the pass, just a lot of now embarrassing and unrealistic basketball moments.

This, Yao and McGrady were the original video game duo, man it used to be the most annoying thing to play against any Houston user Yao literally dominated everyone in the post and McGady cut through traffic like a got knife through butter.

honestly Bulls vs Blazers was better than 2k11 too....along with arch rivals....why you cant pull down players shorts in 2011 is beyond me....cmon 2k
