2k11 vs. 2k12 Video Comparison HD

I created a video of the Clippers at Celtics and Heat at Mavericks, because a friend of mine tried to make a point about Graphics, Details and more and he got torn apart on OS.

So lets honestly compare our mods of the teams and completed modded players of 2k11, against the awesomely good 2k12 game.

Point of the Comparison: To display what the game should look like by default! Using mods as a comparison is to display what the graphics, colors, details and overall authenticity of each team, player, arena and more should look like by default out the box.

Note: This is not a PC vs 360 thread or comparison! It's to display the changes that should be made to look more like the real thing.

Also Note: This was recorded with a software that eats up memory and framerates, but displays the best HD visuals. This is not about the gameplay, it's about the Art of the game! (NOT A GAMEPLAY COMPARISON)

Honestly, your mod looks AMAZING! the court looks to real, way better then 2k12 IMO. Your court looks clear & bright, and the 2k12 court looks so dull & old school ish. Im amazed on how your mod looks WOW just wow!!
but.......

gameplay on 2k12 looks 20x better. They move so much smoother, way smoother. The faces look better.
In terms of the court & graphics. I give it to your MODD any day

Your 2k11 vid looked nice with the mods. I was confused at first because the players looked so much better than what I was used to.

Phenomenal mod dude, A+. That being said the animations in 2K12 make all the difference in the world, bring it!

Although your game does look amazingly well done, we are still only modding the game after the real footwork has already been done. There are no corporate deadlines or NBA imposed color palette restrictions for us. There is no 1-year development cycle to introduce improvements and get everything perfect for modders.

Modding a game for increased realism and making a game for a multimillion dollar global distributor are two completely different animals.

I like your comment, only hiccup I have in it, is the bolded section. Yet this court was made less that a few weeks after game was released, meaning it should have been designed this way from the jump. Also here is year two another title and the court still isn't too it's level. That is a problem.

I think the whole talk on color palettes controlled by the NBA is garbage, Live 10 has the same contracts and they never had a problem with getting colors correct. I didn't want to mention that game, because I don't really want to compare it into the equation! But it's a true statement, they never had pink shoes, and incorrect things like this....

You have to know from my history I'm an insane 2k fan, and honestly I have to say they are the best visual artist on the planet. But to get these small details and colors off, since 2k8 on this gen consoles is just terrible, how hard is it, too insert color: #CD0000 instead of color: #CD1076!

So I can get red instead of pink, and that dds piece for the court tiles, can be edited and placed back into the game in less that 4 minutes. That's how long it took Mythbuster, dRosebulls, Amarowaade etc to edit it.

Little details like that are what I'm talking about! Not to mention the Rondo in 2k11 modded, still looks better than that old man looking version in 2k12. They said they fixed most of the faces this year, yet he looks worse.

Visuals make a difference...Thanks for you feedback and a good post..

Sorry BS - but I don't see this one lasting long.

BTW, your comparison is a bad one. You're using hacked mods on a PC system to compare to the 360 version of the game. You don't have to account for licensing, stability on MULTIPLE types of systems or anything else.
