Re: Framerate...

Yeah, mine stutters randomly a couple times throughout a game. I havent seen that in this series since 07. I'm wondering if it's because I'm signed into PSN and the EA servers, and the game is doing it's phone home thing...

Are you completely disconnected from PSN/the EA servers and still having that problem? I'll have to give it a shot without signing in and see if it's still happening.

Re: Framerate...

Some of the cutscenes slow down just a little, but as far as gameplay, mine has been running extremely smooth......offline season mode mostly....

Re: Framerate...

Yeah, I have terrible issues with frame rate. Changing lines is the worst, the menu either never shows up or causes a huge delay in the frame rate.

The entire game just seems to sort of stutter through like a scratched CD would play through a song. I don't know if I should try a different copy of the game, if it is my PS3/TV, or if it's just how the game is. I played NHL 11 on 360, so I have nothing to compare it to.

Re: Framerate...

Has nothing to do with being signed in.

I'm an offline franchise gamer only, and the stutter when changing lines manually is awful. I've played with "auto" line changes, but don't trust the CPU to do it right. My d-men are always out way too long.

Don't know an answer.

Re: Framerate...

Is anyone else having this issue? I still haven't read much about it online being a problem for people. In fact, a lot of what I read says the opposite; that the gameplay is ridiculously smooth for them.

Re: Framerate...

i have this issue in offline gameplay as well. my frame rate gets all messed up when there is a lot of action going on and the line changing is very laggy for me as well. i tried looking this up and alot of sites say it might be the tv set but i have a bunch of new games and they run perfectly fine. I did however report this in the bug/glitch section hopefully it gets some attention.

Re: Framerate...

Add me to this list of fellow players (PS3) with this issue. And let's keep it bumped, this clearly isn't a random problem. I've tried playing two games today. First one had unbelievable choppy framerate, which worsened when the camera had to move north or south with play, but improved when the camera was in a zone. Second game, the stuttering was completely gone (I exited the game and restarted NHL 11) but I froze when I took a slapshot from the point about halfway through the 2nd period. I had to pull the plug on my PS3, it refused to shut down with the power button (even after letting it sit for five minutes).

I bought NHL 12 yesterday, and have bought the NHL series on the PS3 since '08. This is the first time I've actually not wanted to play the game because it's so glitchy. I don't know if being offline or online matters, I've had stuttering framerate in both scenarios.

I've tried playing 4 times since I bought it yesterday. I've only had one game go off without a hitch, and it was the very first game I played. I have no idea what is going on but when your game is only 25% playable, there is a problem.
