Giants4Natic's Madden 12 Custom Sliders V1.0

I have been playing around with the sliders since I got the game more then 11 days ago. The game is by far the greatest madden game I have ever played. It has improved a lot from last year but what is most improved is the under the hood aspects that standard gamers will not see but hard core madden players will.

Here is my current slider set which is working very well and should be good until we get a patch that might alter some game play elements which at that point we can look into as far as making wholesale changes.

I want to stress that these are not suppose to be perfect or provide each and everyone with the experience they want. I just think these are a good buffer for each person to make their personal touches and get an enjoyable experience based on what they feel is fun and realistic for them.

The biggest issue and I hope it is patched is the CPU accuracy and speed of throw to the outside numbers. It seems that the CPU regardless of slider will always throw ducks to the outside making it easier to react or even pick them off. I love and only play with very slow speed which to me is the best way to go since the animations look outstanding and the movement of players is more on par with reality. I know some like slow or normal or even very fast but the game is to fast side to side and perfect vertically. With anything over very slow, it is unrealistic how players regardless of speed or weight move from side to side. This kills slow or normal game speed for me because all players seem to have quicks from side to side making animations look unnatural.

I tested slow to see if the cpu qb would throw faster to the outside but that was not the case, it seems like this is a gameplay flaw that needs to be addressed pronto.

Due to this, I cannot recommend these sliders to anybody playing on above slow, but you are more then welcome to try them and see what they can do for you. Normal speed is not about quick reaction and having little time to execute due to quick decisions. It is unrealistic in terms of how the movement of all players is from side to side. Very slow fixes this

Quarter Length 15
Acc Clock down to 20 (No choice in franchise mode) Still gives 120-130 plays
Injuries: User option
Fatigue: 50 (User option)
Speed threshold: 47 43 (Lower makes for bigger plays)

Penalties: User preference, only ones that work are false start, offsides, and late hit on qb along with holding, clipping, and Face Mask. Rest do not work as they should.

The subs are user preference but I only change RB In and Out to 81-83

Human Sliders:

Passing:

QB Accuracy: 20 13 (Works well if you set feet and have accurate qb)

Pass Blocking: 34 31 (Good protection if good o-line, PA only successful if you establish a run game)

WR Catching: 31 26 (Anything higher leads to easy rocket catches)

Rushing:

Broken Tackles: 17 (Still get enough to be realistic)

Run Blocking: 23 19 (Run game is to powerful for humans as it is)

Fumbles: 41 34 (This should yield realistic fumble numbers)

Pass Defense:

Reaction Time: 7 5 (Due to qb lobs the human reaction needs to be lowered)

Interceptions: 17 21(Still get picks but this helps stop outside picks at high rate)

Pass Rushing: 37 46 (I found lower makes to easy for user sacks, let cpu handle)

Rush Defense:

Reaction Time: 20 7 (Helps stop the fast pounce on cpu run game)

Block Shedding: 25 17 (Keeps your d-line standing vs high cpu run block slider)

Tackling: 60 43 (CPU breaks to many tackles and this will keep it more balanced)

CPU Sliders

Passing:

QB Accuracy: 56 (Great this year, no robo qb)

Pass blocking: 33 38 ( Let cpu handle d-line and sacks will come)

WR Catching: 37 48 (CPU makes catches but some when getting drilled fall out)

Rushing

Broken Tackles: 24 31 (CPU still breaks tackles with this set)

Run Blocking: 65 71 (This helps the CPU run game but does not knock d-line down)

Fumbles: 40 50 (User strip is to easy when this is lowered)

Pass Defense:

Reaction Time: 81 87 (CPU plays good zones but leaves seams open to much)

Interceptions: 47 42 (Make mistakes and you will pay just like it should be)

Pass Rushing: 37 34 (Allows the cpu to pressure you but realistically)

Rush Defense:

Reaction Time: 44 47 (Allows the cpu not to read tosses easily all the time)

Block Shedding: 51 54 (Helps lower powerful human run game)

Tackling: 49 52 (Humans can break ankles easily but this helps a bit)

Special Teams:

FG Power: 47 45 (From 37-47 yards depending on kicker is decent)

FG Accuracy: 47 (Weather makes this perfect and a bit challenging for cpu)

Punt Power: 47 53 (Faster ball gets to returner the more yards)

Punt Accuracy: 47 48 (Not easy to coffin punt)

Kick Off Power: 49 51 (Decent foot gets it to goal line, good foot back of zone)

In terms of the speed threshold, I found that lowering it made seam routes and post patterns with a fast receiver easy most times with an advantage of about 5-7 yards which is unrealistic. In the nfl one step or 2 means you are a blazer. 5-7 yards of separation means you playing vs kids.

But this is all subjective and you can see what works for you. I am just giving out my opinion.

Feedback is always welcomed and I appreciate it.

Enjoy!!!!

I'm gonna try these when I get home this evening, as I used yours last year with good results. How are your stats looking playing on 15 min quarters?

They seem to work fine in terms of getting realistic stats. It all depends as well on what type of gamer you are.

Re: Giants4Natic's Madden 12 Custom Sliders V1.0

Played Saints vs Giants, didn't get to finish the whole game but I thought they played extremely well. I was a little skeptical on playing very slow, but the animations were much better.

The only concerns I have are the length of the game, but I'll play a few more to see how total plays turns out. Also the cpu had a lot of sacks, but that could be because they were the Giants.

Overall, great set!

Minutes per qt are just preference and are not required to be at 15. You can play 2 minute qts and it would be no different in terms of gameplay.

If you feel the cpu is getting to many sacks then start by lowering their pass rush before you raise your pass block.

But year the NYG do have horses that will get to you. Try and play vs a bad team and see how much pressure they get on you.

Re: Giants4Natic's Madden 12 Custom Sliders V1.0

Hey I just used your sliders to play a Chargers (me) vs Steelers (cpu).

I love the stats and the amount of plays, but the score was just crazy. After you read the stats read the bottom to, i'll explain some stuff that happened.

Score: Chargers 37 Steelers 31

Rivers: 76 QB Rating, 21/33, 191 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Ben: 88 QB Rating, 25/38, 328 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT

Mathews: 23 carries, 74 yards, 0 TD, 1 Fumble, 1 Broken tackle, longest 12

Castillo: 5 Tackles, 3 TFL, 2 Sacks
Phillips: 6 Tackles, 2 TFL, 2 Sacks, 1 INT
Garay: 4 Tackles, 1 TFL, 1 Sack
Gilchrist 6 Tackles, 1 INT

Steeler's Defense:
Clark: 14 Tackles, 1 TFL, 1 FF
Harrison: 8 Tackles, 2 TFL, 1 FF
Farrior: 5 Tackles, 1 TFL, 1 Sack
Timmons: 4 Tackles, 2 TFL, 1 Sack, 1 INT

Total plays:
Chargers: 64
Steelers: 79

- I was winning 27 to 3 at the end of the first half
- Their punter was weak and gave me great field position all game.
- My kicker Kaeding made 1 FG he never should have (way too far).
- I returned a FG for a TD that fell short on a FG block return.
- About half of the sacks I had on Big Ben's sacks, came from him scrambling and my DE tackling him just a yard or so short.
- Another TD from me came from a HB draw to my RB Todman who has 94 speed and I just beat some blocks.
- One of their FG's came from the 3 yard line after Mendenhall had a 40 yard run, then I stopped them 3 times on the goal line.
- They also had a missed FG that fell just short and hit the front crossbar.
- They got a TD when I was just killing clock with under 2 min 2 go on a fumble return for TD.

I'll play a game against the Packers and post it when i'm one.
