Madden NFL 12 Franchise Relocation (?)

Say I wanted to relocate one franchise in particular, like the Raiders or Chargers to Los Angeles, how exactly would I go about that. I went through an entire off-season with the Giants, and didn't see one thing about relocating teams. I'm not sure whether the Giants having a brand new stadium had anything to do with that.

I'm also curious whether this game allows you to build new stadiums in the teams current location, or allows you to maintain the teams current logos, name and uniforms if you do decide to relocate to another city (i.e. just changing the teams city and stadium, and nothing else).

Should be an option under owner mode. You cannot keep anything from your old team (name/uni/stadium) and it's the same old junk from the previous years.

I'm sure it's no different then relocating (I could be wrong), but I started a Franchise with a custom team and aside from the obvious lack of team name, your intro's are just your team standing in a group then running out. Same player animation as other teams but it's missing the tunnel and everything else, looks stupid. Plus, I had a stadium with an open top and some cut shots of the sky had horrid textures that didn't line up.

Add on the fact there's nothing new and it's the same old logo's and uni designs it's really pointless to relocate when you loose pretty much all of the new broadcast aspects.

i have no idea WHY they havent made this better... I mean relocation is a REAL LIFE thing. They need to have it where you can keep a logo and that logo remains on the helmet. not some blank helmet. It defeats the purpose of using the team name but in a differnt city. (i.e. LA Rams , St.Louis Rams)

That blows, but I should've figured it was about the same as always. I'll just go with all 32 teams in Franchise Mode and go out of my way to keep each team in their current cities each off-season. I hate it when the CPU relocates teams and/or builds them a random new stadium. Yes, I've had it happen before.

I'm pretty sure this is a limitation on them by the NFL. I don't believe they can alter the location, logos, etc. of NFL teams which prohibits them from doing relocations, rebuilding a new stadium, changing their uniform, etc.

I personally wish they'd do away completely with the feature if we can't move them and keep their logos or rebuild a stadium and what not.

Not sure if you guys remember but there was a Madden in the earlier 2000's where you had the option of relocating and you could actually keep your team name, logos, uniforms, etc. Not sure how difficult it would be but I figure EA can implement the same code for the new gen consoles. Just IMO

Actually, it was not supposed to be like that. I can't remember what year that was, but the trick was to relocate and never enter the "edit uniform" screen, and it would keep all the same stuff. Has not worked on any Madden since.

It doesn;t help that the first stage is change uniforms.

I'd like to pick a city before making my team name and unis.

Another good idea, that was just poorly implemented.
