Authentic's 2012 Slider Project

Notes: Changes are in bold and red

1. First off, I would say that these are for the true SIM style players. I play a very realistic style of game and don't use the plays that I know will work all the time.

2. Second, these will be sort of a beta set of sliders for a bit. I have played a lot of games on All-Pro to get a good idea of what needs to be changed and would like you guys to help me test to get a variety of games for slider purposes. So please, play a lot of games and let me know how your games go.

What to expect:

1. Expect a game that produces realistic stats and realistic gameplay. I want these to be perfect for both play now games and franchise games.

2. Expect a game that isn't perfect. NFL games aren't always won by playing a perfect game or playing better than the other team.

Game Options:

Skill Level- Custom
Playcall Style- GameFlow (user choice, doesn't effect gameplay)
Play clock- On
Strategy Pad Quick Links- On
Coordinator Audio- Off
Coordinator Subtitles- Off
Accelerated Clock- On
Minimum Play Clock Time- 25 seconds
Game- 12 minutes
Camera Settings- Standard
Auto Strafe- On
Auto Sprint- On
Injuries- 25
Fatigue- 65
Game Speed- Slow/Normal (I prefer normal. Normal is the most realistic tempo wise, but it harder to make decisions, have to make them quicker. More experienced users use normal, other players use slow.)
Player Min Speed Threshold- 50 (I am still working with this to find the best setting. Each way has it's advantages and disadvantages from what I'm seeing right now.)
Coach Mode- Off
Motion Sensor Function- 50 (Has anyone used this...Ever?)

Penalties:

Offside- 55
False Start- 55
Holding- 52
Facemask- 55
Defense Pass Interference- 100
Offensive Pass Interference- 100
KR/PR Interference- 100
Clipping- 50
Int Grounding- 100
Roughing the Passer- 52
Roughing the Kicker- 100

Player Skill:

Passing:
QB Accuracy- 45
Pass Blocking- 55
WR Catching- 40

Rushing:
Broken Tackles- 50
Run Blocking- 50
Fumbles- 40

Pass Defense:
Reaction Time- 40
Interceptions- 35
Pass Rushing- 30

Rush Defense:
Reaction Time- 40
Block Shedding- 45
Tackling- 40

CPU Skill:

Passing:

Pass Rushing- 55

Rush Defense:
Reaction Time- 50
Block Shedding- 50
Tackling- 40

Special Teams:

FG Power- 40
FG Accuracy- 45
Punt Power- 45
Punt Accuracy- 45
Kickoff Power- 55

Auto Subs:

QB Sub Out-0
QB Sub In- 5

RB Sub Out- 80
RB Sub In- 85

WR Sub Out- 80
WR Sub In- 85

FB/TE Sub Out- 60
FB/TE Sub In- 65

OL Sub Out- 0
OL Sub In- 5

DT Sub Out- 70
DT Sub In- 75

DE Sub Out- 60
DE Sub In- 65

LB Sub Out- 20
LB Sub In- 25

CB Sub Out- 20
CB Sub In- 25

S Sub Out- 20
S Sub In- 25

So basically these are a test subject. Please test them out, post your results, a box score would be awesome for stat info and seeing how the game went. I really think this game plays well out of the box, just some minor changes and it could be the best Madden yet. Let's get it going!

Re: Authentic's 2012 Slider Project

Notes from the game.

User:
Passing- Felt really good. I was playing from behind and had to force some balls, McNabbs completion percentage shows that, even with accuracy at 45.
Rushing- Felt "ok". I might tighten up the CPU awareness 5 points, which should be just right.
Defense- Looked good. All 3 of my sacks came when the CPU was trying to throw deep, and all with one guy, maybe a little cause for concern.

CPU:
Passing- Felt awesome! The computer took some shots, maybe too often but it was realistic when they did.
Rushing- I will probably loosen up the user rush defense a little, but the CPU just didn't rush the ball that much. Probably increase the run block 5 ticks.
Defense- Absolutely unbelievable defense by the CPU. It was an intense game.

Side notes- The game honestly felt awesome. There may be need for some minor tweaks but overall, this is a great start. I don't know if I want to teak the threshold at all. Maybe take it down to 35ish.

Oh, by the way, the 2nd turnover for me, besides the interception was a fumbled punt return by Camarillo.

Re: Authentic's 2012 Slider Project

Couple more changes after playing a half against the Eagles:

All changes since the original post:
CPU Run Blocking from 55 to 65
CPU Rush Defense to 50
CPU Pass Blocking to 60
Player Broken Tackles to 50
Player Run Blocking to 50
Player Rush Defense Block Shedding to 45
Roughing the Passer penalty from 100 to 75.

I am going to start my dynasty and see how it works through the preseason to start.

Re: Authentic's 2012 Slider Project

I also changed the quarter length to 12 minutes as that is what will get the most realistic amount of plays.
