Question about my online dynasty week advancing w/o me doing it

I'm the commissioner of a 12 player SEC online dynasty on the XBOX 360. I'm playing with UT, and the South Carolina fan using the Gamecocks, and I made plans to play our game tomorrow. I checked on the dynasty today and saw where the week had already been advanced without me advancing it. The thing is, the Gamecock fan had a perfect unbeaten season going, and the computer simulated the game we never played and gave me the win which isn't fair at all for him. I was looking forward to playing him, too.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening? Is it a glitch? Was there something in the settings that I, as commissioner, should have turned on or off?
