Let's Talk About Players In General

Not a top5 list, not a bold prediction thread, not a debate who is better thread.

Let's talk about players.....

Guys who might interest you from how they will develop, perform, succeed or fail on their new team, with their current team, and/or guys you are interested in watching from a fantasy football perspective to a real-life perspective. I post this because I don't want to limit the discussion on someone like Kenny Britt because he should be talked about in his Team's thread, and in no way does he deserve his own thread. But he is someone who I am interested in watchin from a real life standpoint to a fantasy one as well.

I don't think there is a thread like this yet......so let's discuss.

I will start it off....as mentioned I am curious to see what Britt brings to the table this yr. He had that HUGE game against Philly, then disappeared and suffered injuries. How will he be with a new offense/QB and is he someone who will be lighting the league on fire. He has great size and athletics.....

Also another interesting candidate is STL WR Donnie Avery. He was slated as the #1 prior to a season ending injury in the 2010 preseason, and he is back this year and with Sam Bradford's star is on the rise. Do the two pair to make a deadly pass attack this year?

Will this be a breakout year for Avery? For Britt too?

Re: Let's Talk About Players In General

I'm still waiting to see what Matt Stafford can do over the course of a full NFL season. He has flashed A LOT of potential, but man I can't watch Lions games thinking is this the play where Stafford goes down.

I am also interested to see how Stevie Johnson adapts to having coverage rolled to his side with out Lee Evans. I could see his production falling off.

The lions in general are interesting. I had no idea the had signed Stephen Tulloch, he is a solid addition to an improving D. The Lions are interesting, and if Stafford can stay healthy have a shot for a wildcard.

I have the same concerns with Steve Johnson too.

Re: Let's Talk About Players In General

Interested to see how MJD does this season with a potential QB controversy and coming off his surgery, that and he's on my fantasy team lol.

Someone else i'm looking at that can potentially breakout is Robert Meachem, he has all the tools available to be a potential pro bowl WR just needs to put it all together with consistency.

The WR corps in Nawlins is interesting both Lance Moore and Meachem are breakout candidates. I don't know which is more likely to succeed.

I'm interested in seeing how Patrick Willis does against the run without Aubrayo Franklin and Travis LaBoy in front, and Takeo Spikes and Manny Lawson on his side. The 49ers front seven on defense has undergone a lot of turnover this offseason.

I'm also curious to see if the Seahawks offense will be able to score over 14 points in a game with Tarvaris Jackson starting for them at quarterback.
