*Official 2K12 Classic Player Shoe Thread*

I wanted to get an early start on shoes for 2K12, and Aloncho's second Attention to Detail thread got me wanting to start this thread. I would like to get the shoe company/brand beside the players' names. This thread isn't meant to tell 2K what to do; it's for my benefit as well as those who want to play a lot with classic teams and have players wearing correct shoe brands.

If you want to contribute to the thread, just copy what the OS member posted ahead of you and add/correct. I'm not looking for pics or even the name of the shoe; if you want to post that, it's fine, but I'm just looking for the shoe company (ie Rodman went from Reebok to Nike to Converse, and other players switched brands which makes it a little difficult). I think this thread will be useful, but if it needs to be moved to the roster forum please do so.

This thread, of course, is not meant to label EVERY player with a shoe, but ones that you know of. I filled in just a few that I knew/thought I knew off the top of my head (others were taken from Aloncho's thread) so some could be wrong. Feel free to correct.

Since 2K has gone so far with all of the classic teams, it would be awesome to see them go one step further with the shoes.

In the 70's and a good portion of the 80's, two shoe company's dominated the NBA's feet: Converse and Pony.

Magic and Bird need their signature weapons.



As do guys like McHale and Isiah



Also, I know it's been touched on a few times before, but it would be awesome if we could get some Chuck Taylor's in the game, especially the low cuts.

As for Pony, practically half the league was sporting them in the 60's and 70's. Wilt, Havlicek, Russell, and Silas should all be rocking Top Stars.





And it would be awesome if we could get Spud in the gorgeous and classic City Wings...
