Pass Rush is killing me.

The pass rush as many have mentioned is flawed this year.

There is nothing you can do if the OL collapse in the middle.

IRL pass rush usually comes from the outside, so itīs a must to enter the "pocket".

This year, DT are passing by the middle of the OL so there are no Pocket at all.

A tunner could help to fix this i think.

DE should generate more rush than the DT.

The IL should pass block better and not letting the DT pass through.

I had a high 80's C that was getting beat ALL THE TIME by inferior opposition, so I checked his ratings. AWR was in the 50's so I bumped it to 80. Guy improved 10x, stopped being a revolving door.

You might check your interior linemen and see if a little ratings tweak might help.

This is my biggest issue with the game. Pass rush doesn't make any sense. Pass rush slider up/pass block down only produces a stronger pass rush from the DTs. (swim move WAY to effective) The DEs no matter what the setting do the same canned animation. DE player ratings make no difference on pressure type to the QB.

I think it's because of the edited roster glitch. Run stopping DTs become pass rushers and pass rushing DEs become run stoppers. Try playing a few games with original numbers only rosters and see if there is a difference.

Might have to try that. Was wondering why my DTs were getting 8-10 sacks a year and DEs only getting 2-3. If changing tendencies makes that much a difference, I'm gonna change all Dline to pass rushing.

If you are past the 1st season of a dynasty don't change the recruits because they aren't affected by the glitch.

Re: Pass Rush is killing me.

While I do agree that the pass rushing is broken (esp. with DT's), there are ways around it in gameplay. First things first is to identify zone or man coverage with motion, where the D lines up, etc... Then I make sure to know where are my recievers are going at all times. After saying hut I honestly sit there for a second or two and watch my o-line (except on quick throws). Once I see the gap to step up into (because my OG got beat) I step up into it and look down the field for open recievers. It is really effective against the 3 or 4 man rushes. You just gotta adjust the way you play the game.

x1,000,000!!!

This has been my only major beef with this game, but it's been such a big one that it's frustrated me to no end.

I have played extensively with MK's Varsity set and Matt's Heisman set and have tested specifically for this issue. Those are GREAT slider sets, but I was still seeing the LDT or NT in 3 man rush fronts whip right by OGs or Cs immediately after the snap on at least half my pass attempts. That just wasn't working for me.

I lucked out, though, and think I've found the solution. I tried SEC's AA set, and I made two small adjustments: I bumped HUM pass block up 5 and lowered CPU pass rush by 5 and it's literally perfect. The issue seems to have disappeared.

Now my interior line holds up just like it should--I can step up in the pocket to deliver the ball and I'm not getting hit at 1.5 seconds every play. Most of the sacks now actually come from the DE position. I highly encourage those who are frustrated with this issue to try this set with these adjustments.

I think INTs are too high for CPU on that set, so you may need to tone those down, but something about the balance feels perfect.

Also, I recommend the rerates by Cparrish and Yukon. I use those rosters and have fantastic games.

I'd be curious to know if this helps others. Please chime in if this set + adjustments works for you!
