An ATH is not really an ATH if he can only play one position

I'm sick of getting ATHs who only have one position.

True athletes can play more than one, that's why they're classified as such.

Just got an ATH who can only play OLine. Why not just make him an Olineman?

ATHs should have these types of options:

QB/HB/WR/S
QB/TE/LB
HB/LB
HB/S
WR/CB/S
TE/DE/LB
OL/DL
DE/LB
LB/S

Position changes are so common in real life college football, so I think this can be better represented in the game.

And most athletes can play only HB/WR...

I agree completely

It is pretty ridiculous. There's never a Kordell Stewart, Charles Woodson, Hines Ward, Brad Smith, James Wilder, etc. type of guy that could play several different positions if you wanted. Every season at ever school there are guys that switch from S to LB, LB to S, WR to CB, CB to WR, HB to LB, LB to HB/FB, none of this ever happens in NCAA 12.

Re: An ATH is not really an ATH if he can only play one position

Would be nice. It's annoying to recruit a big WR, see him buried on your depth chart and try moving him to TE to see he drops from a 75 to a 40. I get his blocking would be way below par, but if the guy has decent strength and his hands are solid shouldn't he at least be a decent receiving TE?

Would also like to be able to actually move bigger power backs to full back, happens in real life but it's nearly impossible to pull off in the game thanks to the same reason as above. Could drop nearly thirty overall points and be insufficient as a starter in the position somehow.

Yea I made a thread about this a while ago (http://www.operationsports.com/forum...n-changes.html).

Its pretty unrealistic that these guys can only play one position. Its not just the athletes either, its not uncommon for players to move from offense to defense and vice versa.

Re: An ATH is not really an ATH if he can only play one position

Ryan Tannehill was a very good WR for the Aggies and they switched him to QB mid-season (something the game doesn't allow) and he lit it up at QB. The reverse happened for the Longhorns, John Chiles was a QB who switched to WR.

This can NEVER happen in the game.

You may not like to do it but the simple work-around for this is editing player stats. I feel this was one major reason why it was implemented. And, I think they are adding the ability to edit height and weight. Tremendous...
