September update was released last night. It has a couple of patches to the engine and 3 new league formats. One of the formats is a 1950's 12 team league.

The demo is free to download and play for 2 seasons so you can check it out.

Posted this in the PFS forum too. Tried the demo and found some issues.

2D Graphics Mode
This mode is impossible for me to use. The game doesn't show passing, so the ball "jumps" from the QB to the receiver instantly. And incomplete passes are skipped altogether.

Play by Play Spectate
So I decided to give the PBP mode a shot instead. I simmed a game, then clicked "Watch" to see it play out in PBP. When I click the "Next Play" button, the PBP shows me 2 plays at a time. Which takes away from any potential drama of watching a game unfold.

I decided not to purchase a license yet. The game looks promising, but the graphics are too clunky for me, and the PBP is running 2 plays at a time. Get these issues fixed and you will probably have a sale.

Is there a way to disable the screen when you are watching a game? I like the idea of it, but it isn't very smooth, and there isn't much of a distinction between plays.

It would be better to remove the graphic all together and just let the text tell the story.

Other than that it seems to be very deep. If those issues are fixed I would probably buy.

Sure, you can disable the 2d viewer in configuration and it will just show you a scrolling version of the play by play.

Awesome, you are off to great start. I think we'd all love to see a really good football sim (other than FOF which is 4+ years old). We're pretty set with baseball sims, but football for whatever reason is wide open.
