Franchise mode stats messed up

I was playing my franchise as the braves and after playing my first game I looked at season stats and it said the players had played between 80-100 games. What the heck?

Re: Franchise mode stats messed up

Someone else posted the same problem a while back and the only fix I saw was to restart it, something got messed up with the Franchise file...In the last case restarting it worked.

Good Luck!

Re: Franchise mode stats messed up

This bug is ruining the game for me.

I've restarted my franchise 3 times, and now I am going to try uninstalling/reinstalling.

I've tried just about everything I can think of.

If anyone has any ideas other than restarting, please let me know.

Because I am about to uninstall and just go back to MVP 2005. What is the point of a sports sim where half my players have a 300 at bat head start on the rest of the league?

Re: Franchise mode stats messed up

Bug happens after patch.

I can reproduce it, and think I have found a work around.

When starting a new franchise, bug occurs if you try to manage your organization OR do nothing. Selecting the option to have the computer manage your organization stops the bug. You don't have to turn automation on, just select for them to manage the initial 40 man roster for spring training. Immediately afterwards, you can edit your organization any way you want. The bug is gone.

Honestly, now that I *think* I've solved this bug, I'm not even sure I want to play the game anymore.

I will think long and hard before ever buying another 2ksports product for the PC. If I wasn't on my two week vacation right now, I never would have had the time to screw with this and solve the issue. If I wouldn't have solved it, the game disc would be a 30 dollar coaster. Why play with no stat tracking?

2k should have fixed this bug before release. The fact that the patch doesn't fix it is unacceptable. I know it doesn't happen to everyone, but it happens enough. I've seen various people suffering from the bug.
