High batting averages in franchise mode

Is anyone else having a problem with individual batting averages in franchise? I'm 15 games through my season so far and most of my players are hitting above .300. A few have averages that are about right, but it's weird having my first three hitters with averages of .333 (Starlin Castro), .342 (Darwin Barney) and .405 (Andre Ethier).

Any solutions?

My sliders for hitting has my contact at 30 and power at 70.

Not seeing a problem with just being 15 games in? Just my opinion. If youre that worried, set pitch speed to 100, that'll settle your hitting and raise the pitcher AI success.

Which difficulty are you playing on? I am playing on All Star difficulty and have a mixture (Am currently in August of my Franchise and have played every game) I have some like Granderson (.278) Gardner (.303) Jeter (.289) and Martin (.260) reflecting more like their real life counterparts whereas I have guys like A-Rod (.390) Teixeira (.360) and Swisher (.356) whose BA are totally inflated.

Have a look through the Sliders section in this forum, there will be something there that you seek.

I think you should lower your power. At 70, you have to be seeing double digit hits easily every game along with a couple HR's, right? I use 46 contact and 55 power and my Braves are nearly spot on with the exception of Uggla. But even at 55 power I hit HRs, maybe too many.

I have the same problem. I'm something like 45 games in, and my Rangers are still hitting around .338 as a team. That number is slowly going down for me though with new sliders. I think my contact is at 25 and power is at 60 for me.

Once again guys, raise the pitch success for AI and raise pitch speed 85-100. You wont be having double digit hits alot. More around 4-8.
