Shannon Sharpes induction speech...

Very moving... The insight of a driven man to be the best and give the best. Very similar to Michael Jordan's speech. I was very touched how he paid a tribute to his brother, Sterling, and granny. That being said, do you think sports writer will butcher him the way they did Jordan?...

Moving.... I love the mans granny.

Incredible speech

No he won't catch flack for the speech. Anyone who does is only doing so for attention.

Loved the speech, but I don't think he'll catch any of the flak MJ did.

If I remember correctly, MJ's speech was a lot more combative. Whereas Sharpe got up there and paid tribute, MJ got up there and ethered some people. Personally, I think writers, yahoo in particular, made more out of it than it was. If anyone had paid any attention to Jordan beyond the sweet commercials they'd have seen the rage driving him. The speech was only speech MJ could have given.

If anyone finds the speech online, can you post a link here? I missed it and everyone is talking about it!

I agree that people made too big of a deal about Jordan's speech. I thought it was one of the best speeches I'd have ever heard and if he'd have said it any other way, it just wouldn't have seemed like Jordan.

But yes, Sharpe's speech was great. We all know Deion's going to give us a show, but Sharpe's speech was just great. Love when he talked about Sterling.

Re: Shannon Sharpes induction speech...

Sharpe's speech was MUCH better than Deion's.
