Online Rosters, Depth Chart and Formation Subs

When playing online all my players have accurate names, numbers, ratings, etc My opponent will have the same. My question is this, are the rosters (names, jersey numbers, rating, etc) based off the rosters on my system? Or the rosters on their system?

Also, I have my team's depth chart and Formation Subs set up one way but when I play online I always find myself pausing the game to reset my offense and defensive subs. Is there a way to fix this?
