Anyone else use their couch to help with splits?

I've been doing this for a couple of years now, and I was just curious to see if anyone else did this, or maybe something similar...

My TV is perfectly centered in front of my couch, so I like to switch which side I sit on, depending on the handedness of the pitcher I'm facing. On the surface, it really doesn't seem like it should have any effect on how I pick up the ball, but I swear it helps.

This is what it would look like if I'm facing a RHP...

Anyone else have a weird Show habit like this? I tired messing with different offset cameras too, but nothing works better for me than catcher cam 2 and the right couch position.

Re: Anyone else use their couch to help with splits?

I live in a very small apartment right now so I have my TV at the foot of my bed and I sit against my headboard and have have a perfect position I have to play The Show in or else I cannot hit at all, and yes I have to rotate to see from a different angle depending on the handedness of the pitcher. I thought I was the only one!

not like yours but i actually did notice i played better when i was facing the tv straight instead of lying on my couch diagonally cause my couch is like a really wide V so i usually lay down but i was playing bad . it just helped with timing for hitting and getting my spots pitching. its pretty weird.

I do swivel my tv a degree or two based on the matchup. Man, have you ever heard of so many superstitions in a video game?!! Just like the real thing!

I don't do a LHP/RHP thing but I either lay across the couch or sit on the floor for hitting, and sit in my chair for pitching. Anytime I go on on slumps I just start adjusting my positions. It's not a superstitious thing at all, just trying to see the ball at different angles. I have different spots for all my games lol.

Sometimes when I'm facing a submarine pitcher I will tilt my head to locate the ball. I feel really weird when I do this @_@

Re: Anyone else use their couch to help with splits?

I have a specific chair, with a specific distance away from the TV.

I also need to turn the TV so I'm facing it square.

And I also cannot wear my contacts while playing The Show; glasses only (which I HATE wearing, by the way, but for some reason the ball is all fuzzy without my glasses on).

And as far as the splits: No. But I should. I'm hitting .20 points higher as a team versus lefties.

I always tilt my head against submarine pitchers. I absolutely hate facing them, but the head tilt is helpful.
