I shot a PM off to Dobzimus Prime (an EA software engineer that is working on the game) and he promptly responded to my question about a patch affecting current named rosters:

"The tendencies flipping bug is a separate bug that someone else here is fixing. I don't have all the details on that fix, but I doubt it will wipe existing rosters. Sorry I don't have more info on that for you."

So while it isn't necessarily his bug to fix, his optimism makes me more confident about the game, the patch, and that the OS Community rosters can keep on keeping on just fine. Again, these are only his words but, as he is an insider, I'll take that for what its worth and be happy about it!

So glad to hear this. There's no telling how pissed the roster makers (including myself) would have been to have put so many hours into rosters only to have them rendered useless. Awesome!

This makes me very happy

. I know its not a guarantee but it gives me hope and has made me lean towards keeping this game for now.

I'm glad I could relay this, even though its somewhat conjecture. In any case, I'm glad to bring some optimism to the boards, as I think most people were thinking the patch would destroy everything that has been worked on. I don't think that's what will happen, but now its a question of when that patch will come out. I'm guessing sometime late next month conservatively.

Would love actual confirmation from EA on this... I'm tired of sitting in limbo here.

I don't expect anything on a Sunday, perhaps tomorrow.
