NHL 12 Be A Pro...Haven't heard/read/seen.

Hey Guys,
Wondering if NHL 12 will take a bit of what FIFA 11 has done with the Be A Pro character in how you can play a Season/Franchise as the team with your character and having the leveling up of attributes and stats when not just playing club/pro in online games.

Would be a nice element to tie the two together as I've enjoyed it since getting FIFA a few months ago as I was finishing up playing NHL each night.

Nothing about that yet. I assume it will be the same as NHL11 where boosts can be unlocked either online or off. As for the XP points earned for games/grades, I doubt offline games will count this year, but who knows. Maybe we'll get an EASHL/OTP blog soon... Very quiet on that front.

Thanks! It's interesting in FIFA how playing the career mode by myself can benefit my player (online/offline) and then when buddies are online hop on to play with the team without having to focus on different modes.

I'd love to do a season with my caps and my guy on there while playing towards having a better character online....

I'm asking for too much, the games "leveling up" systems are a bit different.

They have released a lot of Be a Pro features if you check website and facebook pages. You will have option to start out as a 15 year old and play 4 seasons of CHL (this will be optional). You'll have more realistic ice-time, but the option to skip to your next linechange. There will be more shift to shift goals you need to meet. It also says you CAN transfer stats from NHL 11 to NHL 12.

I would absolutely love if they completely revamped the progression system to the FIFA one. Different positions and player types have base builds that your earned attributes get added to. This helps to do away with the xp boosting and all other glitches involved in player builds. It would also force players to choose player types based on the way they actually play.

That's what I was thinking, the overall system in FIFA is fantastic and I think would work great within the NHL game. FIFA really does a great job with how the character is developed. Maybe one day. Until then, I'm still pumped for NHL 12
