Recruiting Options

Can someone help me answer a question:

Is it possible for the CPU to do the recruiting for me? If so, how likely is it that it will work well?

Re: Recruiting Options

Yes, it's possible. It's under recruiting assistance. They can fill your board and do it all for you.

They aren't terrible, but it's clearly not as effective as doing it yourself.

Re: Recruiting Options

Make sure in the setting you have turned on the help for scholarship, recruiting, and visiting. The game will do it but I doubt you get the recruits you want.

yeah you will probably end up doing a better job than the computer.

however if you want a little control (for instance with all help on the computer will fill your board with 35 guys), i would turn off recruiting board help. pick 12-20 guys in the preseason you really want and leave visit assistance and scholly help on.

i'm playing as a DC in dynasty right now and only recruiting a handful of guys and letting the computer recruit the rest. then every few weeks you can check your board to see if any of your targets committed somewhere else and replace them with others.

but if you want nothing to do with recruiting just leave the helpers on (i believe they default to being "on" anyway).

Re: Recruiting Options

Is there any option to have the CPU only help with offense or defense? As an OC, it would be nice if I could control recruiting the offense, and have the CPU handle the rest without it trying to encroach on what I'm doing.

Re: Recruiting Options

There isn't an option, but if you start with players you select (both O and D) then recruit your side of the ball yourself. Have all the other "assistance" options turned on and the CPU should clean up the other side of the ball for you... theoretically this should work.
