"Peak Age" Stat

While editing players in my franchise I noticed that players have a peak age start and a peak age end. Some guys are only about two years apart while others are about seven. Does this attribute do anything at all? Are those the years the player will perform at his best and then start declining after or what? I've been very curious about this for a while and any info on it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You nailed it they will preform the best in those years and then start to decline

Yep in those years all of the players stars will be filled, then after he will start to decline.
