strongst conference in fbs

ok im tired of hearing every single sec fan saying they are the best conference. in my opinion if you have any team undefeated in your conference you clearly arent the strongest. you may have the best team in your conference that year but doesnt mean your the toughest. i think the pac 10 is much more competive than the sec. im just saying if ou compare the sec worst teams to the big 10 worst teams the big 10 would win. im just looking for your guys opinion becuase maybe im looking at it the wrong way.

So when a team goes undefeated in their respective conference that means that said conference is weak? Interesting...

2006:
Florida- 41
Ohio St.- 14

2007:
LSU- 38
Ohio St- 24

2008:
Florida- 24
Oklahoma- 14

2009:
Alabama- 37
Texas- 21

2010:
Auburn- 22
Oregon- 19

Those are the scores of the past 5 National Championship games. 5 straight NCs with 4 different teams from the SEC winning it. In my opinion the statistics speak for themselves, but if you still don't think the SEC is the best then I don't know what to tell you. Your entitled to you opinion though.

haha... using that logic the 2 best conferences in the nation are the ACC and Big East.

Well Florida had a loss both years they won, and LSU had 2 losses in '07. So I guess the SEC peaked in '07 and has been getting weaker since. Do I have that right?

Sometimes you just have to let the facts speak for themselves. Then just walk away.

Re: strongst conference in fbs

i understand getting sick of the sec, but the pac-10? be serious. the acc is competitive too, but thats because there are a plethora of mediocre teams. the bottom big ten team probably would beat vandy, next to worst against ole miss probably would be a push.

the sec east had a down year last year, but overall 9 out of 11 teams went to a bowl, 6 out of 11 finished with at least 9 wins. yes the sec is clearly the best conference, but no that doesnt mean the other conferences are trash or that the sec will be the best conference every year.

no the weakest but im saying if you have one team that can beat all the rest every year clearly their is one team that is better. the sec is one of the strongest but alot of the crappy schools in that conference like florida and georgia use it as the excuse to why they go 5-7 and stuff like that. just becuase you have the team that wins doesnt mean you have the best conference just the best team which is the only thing true of the sec. i think a strong conference is where alot of the teams(not everyone of them) are close in the race fro the title which is exactly what the big 10 was last year. and im sorry i didnt mean pac 10 earlier i meant big 10
