another bob waterfield?

we all know bob waterfield was one of two rookie qbs that i know of that won a championship his rookie season. so i was wondering out of all the rookie qbs drafted this year which do you give the best chance to lead his team to a championship this year? personally i dont think any of them will but if i had to say one id say christian ponder because more of his team is figured out than the rest of the quarterbacks teams.

Yeah that's why you picked out Ponder.

Re: another bob waterfield?

No rookie QB is ever gonna lead his team to a championship in this modern age.

Re: another bob waterfield?

I think it could happen, it's just that the chips are going to have fall almost as perfectly as possible.

Sanchez came pretty close, as well as Roethlisberger and Flacco.

not just because he is a florida state alumni. i dont think he can do it no one in this class can, but again when you look at flacco, sanchez, and others like them. they all have the pieces around them in check. still the lockout harms every rookies chance of being successful this year

Re: another bob waterfield?

Obviously the answer is Ricky Stanzi, taking the reigns in the preseason after Cassel is lost after tripping over the bench heading out for the first snap. Stanzi comes in and leads the Chiefs to the first of 6 Super Bowls in the next 8 years.

Or something like that.
