Would You Call This AQ Worthy?

I want to move around just one conference: The MWC. When Realignments were going on, I realized the MWC had the potential to become great. HOwever, I am not sure if this conference is worthy of an AQ Bid. Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

MWC

North:
Boise State
BYU
Utah
Air Force
Colorado State
Utah State

South:
TCU
Hawaii
San Diego State
Fresno State
Nevada
UTEP

Wyoming, New Meico, and UNLV join the WAC.
Troy Joins Conference USA

Would you give this MWC an AQ bid over the Big East? ACC? SEC? Big 12? B1G? Or Nope?

Thanks! I just root for a bunch of these teams, so I am biased and would give it an AQ, but I don't want the AQ to be undeserved.

AQ in its own right or taking an AQ spot away from another conference?

If you're trying to take the Big East's (your best/fairest shot), I'd say probably not, but then again you are taking TCU away from them. If you're just taking an open At-Large spot, then maybe. It's a borderline call in my eyes, but I could see other fans going for it.

Well it would make it much more difficult for BSU, TCU and Utah to run the table. I would say take one away from the Big East but I think they'll improve over the next couple of years.

With Boise State, BYU, TCU, Nevada and San Diego State, I think it could be. I mean, it's a bit of a stretch though. :P

One could argue this would beat the Big East for AQ status, but you could also make a case against it. Definitely doesn't beat any of the other conferences.

It looks good, but it's not AQ material.

Re: Would You Call This AQ Worthy?

Hawaii's, Utah's, TCU's and Boise's 7 BCS bids in the last 7 years say otherwise to me. I wouldn't necessarily take the Big East's, though they've been pitiful compared to those above, but I'd say this should get a spot. It also doesn't hurt that since the BCS went in place and you consider the new buster criteria, TCU was also eligible for another three bids, BYU for one, and Boise for another three. Putting all that into a single conference? It's a shame if people immediately discredit it just because of the names of the team in the conference.
