There are several improvements I am looking forward to, like the elimination of suction, and the improved player models, but none of those are features.

I'm not sure if there is a feature per se that I am looking forward to. DPP if it works, I guess. Maybe the new camera work?

DPP (big time), free agent bidding system, expanded rosters, Walk on FA's and unlocking ratings in the pre-season to make cut decisions, player roles and tendencies back in the fold as well as expanded. No Suction and tumbleweed tackles. Improved signing and draft logic for the AI. Working IR.

This game will be loaded and a huge step up from Madden 11 (which IMO was a fun game).

Easily, individual coverage assignments. Cannot express how badly I have been wanting to get these back again.

Are there custom plays too, ie actually design plays yourself like we used to be able to do, or does it just allow you to take plays from any playbook?

I know it's a weak answer, but all of it! It's like they took my top 5 feature requests and just stuck them all in the game (except for decent commentary, but it sounds like thats going in next year anyway!)
