Eric Spo

Id rather this topic be on him alone and what you think of his job whether he'll be there next year or not

I say no

Anybody wonder why James Jones never got a chance to play?

Re: Eric Spo

I think Spo is going to be the scapegoat here.

Lebron didnt play because of Lebron...and Pat Riley will see himself as the key that then can unlock the enigma.

OHHHH..James Jones LOL..nevermind lol about Lebron...but I do think Riley is going to be umm.."involved"

Riley coaching the Heat next season seems like a dangerous prospect for both the players and Ol Man Riles. I don't expect Lebron and Riley to be able to co-exist in that setting and while Riley could fight that battle I think he'd just Sloan it up and hit the sunset and let Lebron have what he wants.

Spo has room and time to grow. Unfortunately for him, Miami doesn't. We will see what happens

Re: Eric Spo

I think Spo will be fine. I just don't think Riley wants to be Coaching at the moment.

and I believe Jones was hurt and that's why he didn't get any playing time in the finals.

Re: Eric Spo

Is he hurt?

It was like Eddie House's first bucket in months.. he just ignored the shooters and kept force feeding wade and bron

Wade was turned into the PG which was a bad idea

I also think that his defensive rotations and non adjustments to them really helped them seal a loss to lead they had

Re: Eric Spo

Spo will be the scapegoat should they opt to sacrifice someone, but what gets lost is that they made it pretty darn far in their first year. Lol

Sure he didn't make adjustments defensively later in the series, but hell neither did LA or OKC either. Let's give credit where credit's due. Mavs offense coming in was absurd. They were torching anyone in their path with no regard.

Dallas' offense was honestly stifled for 2.75 games and if LeBron and Wade didn't choke game 2 away, we would all be singing a different tune right now since they would have been up 3-0

There are no excuses here, LeBron playing passive is the glaring problem here, not Spo. Spo deserves his criticism but when your star player decides he doesn't want to be the star anymore, what the hell can you do? How many different coaches is it gonna take for LeBron to realize players win championships?

Maybe once they get a rotation that can go past 7 players, we can truly judge him as a coach.

Re: Eric Spo

Spo is done. He does not have a ghost of a chance being the head coach for next season. Spo's flaws were covered up by the teams success in the celtics and bulls series. But in the nba finals his flaws were part of the reason the heat lost the series. Lebron and spo get most of the blame.

Pat riley would of made the proper adjustments to win games 2 and 4 of this years nba finals that the heat lost.

During the mavs runs, the heat needed a coach to say to wade and james get to the free throw line g** damn it. A coach that would say stop jacking 3 pointers. Stop going for the homeruns and get base hits. A coach that could motivate a lebron james and set plays for him as well as others to take some of the pressure of them.

Spo continued to run the same sets even when there was no success. Grinding can only do so much you need to put your players in the position to score or get fouled.

While I agree ec... thats the thing that may get him canned... if you cant get through to this guy you're now Mike Brown status which means you dont have enough juice to handle the job
