SCEA roster ratings

Anyone notice some very odd and seemingly poor ratings for some players in some of the recent SCEA rosters? When I say poor, I don't mean low, I mean wrong, or arbitrary even.

Right now, looking at the June 6 roster, Zach Britton is a 'B' overall (not the problem)...with 'F' potential (problem).

I use him as an example because he is one of if not the top pitching rookies this season. He has had two less-than-stellar performances, but he was no Russ Ortiz. Until these last two outings though he was carving everyone up and he is probably still the ROY front runner.

This seems weird to me. For the rest of the year, I will offer my services, free of charge to SCEA for providing player ratings. I scout players for a career and can tell you...some of these are just wrong.

I think this sometimes as well. Eric Hosmer is very low in the last few updates, IMO.

no idea why it's doing that, but I feel Pineda is the real front-runner for ROY

After Zach's last two games, I really can't argue...but before those two games, he led Pineda in every category except K's...but that was then...

Ratings are adjusted the first update of every month. They did them on the May 31st update since it was the last day of the month. They do a 3 year average to come up with ratings. Rookies generally dont see any love for at least 2 months. The potental stuff doesnt matter because you can delete the update, download it and get different potentals each time you do it.

Well, that is news to me...randomized potentials seems like the wrong thing to do. As for the rest of what you wrote, I see so many holes I don't even want to address it.

Not my words, it's the developers words. check out the roster threads back in 2006/07/08. The various developers we have had explain why the rosters are they way they are. If look back in 2009 or 10, There is something like a 20 page thread on pontential and why they wont allow you to manually change it. If they allowed you to change it manually, the game would crash. Again, their words not mine.
