Not Making Wide Open Shots With 90+ Shooters

I'm a guy who plays association mode to rebuild crappy teams into dynasties, playing no more than 10 games a season, and that's a high number. So right now I'm in year 2017 with the Suns and I just signed Kevin Durant. He's a 98 overall, with 90+ on close shot, inside shot, med shot, 3pt shot, layup, and free throw. Im in the NBA finals against the cavaliers (the team I originally had in association) and I decided to play the entire series to see if I could win 4 out of 7. I keep running a play out of the 86 celtics playbook where KD comes off of a baseline screen to flare out on the wing. He's open most of the time when he catches it. I shoot and the jumpshot feedback is green, but I keep missing. And these are wide open, nobody around jumpers. And what aggravates me even more is that danilo gallinari (on the cavs) routinely hits contested 3's in KD's face, but I cant make an open one. Is there a solution?

There's too little information to go by. His his "heat meter" blue, yellow or red? Has he hit any shots before?
I you start out by missing, then continuing to shoot probably won't have much effect. Go into practice mode and shoot around with him until you master his timing.

If you want to learn his shot in-game, then try going inside more to start off until he gets hot. Getting easy baskets in the paint or freethrows helps the player get into rythm.

Also, next time you post something; use line breaks and new paragraph. It makes it much easier to read.

Tweaked sliders for medium and 3pt should help and make it more realistic.
