Re: Association ideas

Cavaliers would be number one, Rockets, Kings, Warriors, Nets are a few that come to mind also.

Re: Association ideas

The Raptors are an awful, awful team.

Their best player is Bargnani, to put how bad they are in perspective.

This. Raptors are the hardest IMO because of their bad players/contracts (Calderon, Kleiza, more prob) AND the staff being OVER BUDGET to start (and terrible) due to some scout making crazy money for a couple years. Never been able to stick with rebuilding them for the staff reason.

Re: Association ideas

I'd say the Raptors or the Cavs would be the hardest teams to build into a power house.

Re: Association ideas

i rebuilt the raptors. simmed a few seasons finally picked the player of my future #1 overall a 6'9 SG only a 72 overall and not a ton of potential but he plays better than the 72. i'm playing the games now in his rookie season i'm 5-5 just upped to superstar. have a nice center that i drafted too a season or 2 ago and i like Amir Johnson and Jared Bayless. picked up Batum in FA as my defensive wing.

not a great team. but some nice young players now, and i'm on the up with this team.

Re: Association ideas

I'm doing the Kings, and they aren't terrible right now. Some good trade assets on the team.

If you're looking to BUILD a team, I'd say pick the Pistons or Clippers, since you can trade a lot of their players for some decent stars

If you're looking to make a team BETTER, pick Raptors or Cavaliers and try to take their players to the next level.

Re: Association ideas

Well there are some different ways you could do it. For me, there are two ways to have fun in an association.
1) Finish out a star's career (especially one that hasn't won a ring, ie Nash, Lebron, Nowitzki)
2)Take a dormant team and turn them into a power house. But don't go the super team way that the miami heat took, it is too easy to abuse free agency in this game.

I recommend that you take a team like the Bobcats, and develop them. They have some nice young talent in Tyrus Thomas, DJ Augustin, and Gerald Henderson. You could develop them into your own big 3. And knowing you dunc, you would live Augustin's ability to knock down the trey.
